Patrons can participate in exciting reading programs held state-wide twice each year. Hundreds of books across all genres are chosen around a central theme, so there is sure to be something to interest everyone. Participants must register and submit a report on at least 10 books to be entered into a multiple grand prize drawing.
2016 Winter Reading Program
Please join us for the 2016 Statewide Talking Book Center Adult Winter Reading Program! This year the theme is I Cannot Live Without Books: Celebrating the Joy of Reading and the 85th Anniversary of the Talking Book Program!
The selection in this year's program includes fiction and nonfiction for everyone, with categories exploring the history, events, and people of the 1930s as well as the history and culture of libraries, writers, and readers.
If you would like to participate in the program, mail us a completed registration form (available below) or call 1-800-426-0709 to talk to a reader advisor. Participants who read at least 10 books from the program guide (available below) and return the completed reading log to the library by April 30th, 2016, will be entered in a multiple grand prize drawing.

Explore and Sore: Destination Outer Space at Your Library
Reading gets cosmic this summer with a book list that explores our amazing galaxy with a variety of books to suit everyone: mysteries, romance, memoirs, sci-fi, thrillers, historical fiction, and non-fiction, all about adventures in outer space!
Participants who read at least 10 books from the program guide and submit a report by September 14th, 2015, will be entered in a multiple grand prize drawing.

2015 Winter Reading Program
Celebrating Nationalism and the End of the Civil War at the Library
This year our nation commemorates the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War. Join the Talking Book Centers for the Adult Winter Reading Program to explore America's greatest national crisis, and discover its relevance to today's world.
Participants will be sent a program catalog filled with engaging reads from bestsellers and memoirs to stories of adventure, romance, mystery and more, all in celebration of this significant anniversary and the rebirth of our nation.
Read at least 10 books from the reading program guide and return your completed reading log to the library by April 20th, 2015, to be entered into a multiple grand prize drawing.
